![AWAKE WITH THE SONGBIRDS: POEMS FROM THE PANDEMIC by [Kyrian Lyndon]](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/41o7Ko4IDPS.jpg)
This collection consists primarily of poems written during the COVID-19 pandemic, a time of loneliness and rumination.
Sanz’s poetry stems from intense emotions that swing from one end of the pendulum to the other as she captures the agony of love and loss, along with innocent joy and lighthearted fun.
Each poem is an earnest response to life, love, and everything in between.
REVIEWS
5.0 out of 5 stars She’s a brilliant, very talented poet.
I love her poetry and have read all her published poems. When I read this book, I had similar expectations. Thankfully, they were met. To get a taste of her poetry, read sample pages and you’ll see the truth yourself. Her poetry comes from her heart, that’s obvious in her poems. I plan to read every book she ever writes. – Bookish
5.0 out of 5 stars Poetry that touches the deep places.
Her poetry does exactly what poetry should do…it touches your heart and mind. She uses thoughtful imagery, like “Leaving me with a concave and shrunken universe”, and humor like the end of “Arroz con pollo”. She touches those deep places we all have of love and loss and growing up. “Innocence” is my favorite. – SLD
